CANDLE CARE GUIDE
In this section you are going to find the essential tips & tricks to look after your RC candles!
Trim your wick...
Trim your wick to around 6mm length before lighting, keeping it this length will avoid the mushrooming effect.
You can use our wick trimmer
Keeping wicks shorter also means your candles will have a cleaner burn, if you don't your candle will create a black, sooty residue when you burn them. This can leave marks on ceilings or other nearby surfaces.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
On the First Burn...
Burn the candle for around 2-3 hrs until wax melts across the entire surface up to the sides of the jar as this will prevent tunnelling.
After putting out the flame, let the candle cool for two hours before relighting. Also, make sure you keep the flame away from moving air
Be Careful...
Instead of blowing out the flame, use our snuffer to prevent hot wax from splattering and smoke.
Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
Over-Heating...
As a rule of thumb, candles should not be allowed to burn for longer than four hours.
If you want to turn off your candle, the other way is using our wick dipper, because it reaches out to press the wick into the candle's wax and under its grip, the flame extinguishes without smoke.
Once the wick has been raised and centred, the wax-coated wick can be easily lit again.
It also is the perfect tool to straighten your wick.
Enjoy the scent...
For maximum fragrance keep windows and doors closed, open windows and doors will disperse the scent and lessen the concentration.
Store your candles in a cool, dark and dry place. Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight.
