Increase the lifespan of your candle, How?

If you are a candle lover, have you ever read or heard the phrase ''Trim your wick''? Well, it might sound cliché but it's not, rather it is a very important step that you can't miss out on before burning a candle, but why if you don't?

The reason

When a candle is burning, a healthy flame height is typically 1.30cm to 2.50cm. However, when you don't trim the wick, it can lead to a flame that is too tall (greater than 2.50cm). Also, will be depending on where your candle is placed, this can increase the risk of a fire or even the jar can get too hot that might explode and we don't want that.

It also can run the risk of tunneling, which happens when your wick is too long and the flame gets too hot, causing excess wax to burn.

In fact, trimming a candle wick can prolong the life of a candle by as much as 24%, as well as keeping the surrounding wax clean and free from soot and debris.

Also if you trimming the wick allows the flame to have a clearer and brighter burn. Keeping wicks shorter also means your candles will have a cleaner burn.

Remember to trim your wick every time you want to light your candle.
